Poor Artic....
So, Artic, our poor 'ickle dog died last week. Well, we actually had to get him put down. He was getting old, but wasn't really that sick at all. In fact the vet said when he was brought in for his final trip that he'd hardly been there at all during his 13 years. The problem was that for a few days he'd seemed really down and lethargic. He just wasn't himself. The vet did some blood tests and said that his kidneys were failing. He said that he wasn't in any pain but he would just deteriorate and eventually die. So we decided the best thing to do was to put him down. It was a tough enough decision to make, but it was inevitable. We all new that he was getting old. The worst thing about it all, is not having him around the house anymore. THe past weekend I dont think anybody stayed in the house for longer than a half an hour on their own. We were all just so used to him being there - on the stairs or wherever. He will be missed. He was a cool dog.
I was pretty tired after the weekend, seeing as I went out Thurs, Fri and Sat and got fairly drunk each night. I have to say it was one of the best weekend's I've had in a long time. I quite surprised myself - or should I say, my liver quite surprised me, being able to put up with all the abuse. I went out with the LGB soc in college on Thurs and then met the lads in the Long Stone afterwards. We ended up in fucking Coyote - and what made things worse was that it was a 'school disco' night. I've never felt so old - all these little first years running around in their school uniforms - although I wouldnt say no to a guy in a tight pair of slacks - Im talking downtown ! ;) Fri night headed out to the George. Spent most of the night dancin up on stage. The place was packed by the end of the night. Had a great night, despite not scoring. To be honest, I didn't make that much of an effort - chatted to one or two guys including an accountant from Limerick, but had M on the brain. Saturday night headed out with three French people, Sinead, Eoin and Mary - met one of the French girls when I was away for third year of my degree. I had promised that Id go out with her at some stage, so I kinda had to go out on Sat night. We ended up going to the Foggy Dew, but only stayed for a drink seeing as the place was absolutely jammers and the music was absolutely shite - I mean who wants to sit there and listen to a fucking black sabbath or deep purple album being blasted in your ears while beeing knocked about by everyone walking buy. We headed up to Sosume afterwards and actually had a great night - bit o' dancin, bit o' drinkin. There just seemed to be a good buzz about. Plus, we managed to set up Mary with the French guy who came out with us (originally I thought he might be gay, but then realised that its much the same with every French guy - it must be the whole continental thing). I was a bit nervous bout going out. I knew that the French girl had fancied me when we were away and I was worried that she was going to make a move on me - but apparantly someone had told her that i was gay, so there was no problem there - especially since we had a competition on the dancefloor to see who could slap the most guy's arses - I won of course. God bless my magic fingers :)

So Now I Know
I've been reading over my most recent posts and I realise that since I've started seeing someone, that they've all been really boring. And you'll be glad to hear that it's not going to stop just yet.
Finally I got to talk to M about what's going on with "us" (jesus I sound like some bad rom-com, all I need now is Meg Ryan and I've got myself a blockbuster). This was on Friday night after I met up with him in the Geroge. I was talking to his friend outside where I had been waiting for him in the freezing cold for bout 10 mins after the night was over. I was telling her how I was really gettin sick of all this shit, but she encouraged me to stick around. Im glad I did now. On our walk home I found out from him that the reason he's been acting like he has is that he's not sure if he wants a 'realtionship' or not. Turns out his ex was in touch with him bout 2 weeks ago and begged him to get back together. This kind of threw him. I think he's thinking about getting back with him. He told me that the reason he broke up was that it was getting too serious for him, and that he got a bit scared by the whole thing and so was afraid that we were getting too serious too quickly. At least that explains why I hadnt seen him in ages. He told me that he still wanted to see me but wasnt sure exactly what he wanted at the moment. I told him that I was fine with it (although I amnt sure exactly what the 'arrangement' is between us now). Im going to see how it all pans out in the next few days or so.
Due to the boring nature of the blogs, here's something to make up for it. Don't blame me if they make you go blind.

Update
Just thought Id update the blog, just to avoid any complaints from my avid reader
I graduated during the week, on Wednesday. So I can officially sign my name using letters - rather than just squiggles and x's ;) Illiteracy is a bitch. The grad ball on Wed night was a good laugh. I just picked up the photos yesterday - thank God there's nothing too embarassing in there. I was looking at the photos in college when I just came to realise something - is it just me, or does every function room in every hotel in the country have the exact same decor - I mean the beige/cream patterned wallpaper, dado rail, ugly 50s patterned carpet and crappy fake oil paintings in even faker gold frames??? What up with that? They all just use the same wholesaler/blind decorator or what?
