The Saga Continues......Again

I am so bored. College is just shit.

M rang me yesterday. I went to Isoldes tower on Sunday night, after being ice-skating with a load of ppl in Smithfield and after going to Pravda for 'one drink' but staying there until closing time, to meet him. He said earlier that he was going there with his cousin. Of course, he wasn't there - although I never said that I was going when he rang me. I wasn't really too pleased, and I was even less pleased with the whole situation up to that point. So he rang me yesterday and after a min or so, said that he's have to ring me back. He didn't. So I just decided to txt him and ask him what the fuck he wanted, cause I was getting sick of the whole thing. He rang my phone about and hour later, but I didn't answer. I figured I should let him stew for a while. Last night at bout 11pm he rang again. He seemed puzzled at my reaction earlier so I just asked him straight out what he wanted. He said he wanted to get to know me better before getting into anything again. That makes it sound like I was pursuing him, when it was the other way around. He agreed we had to talk about it (thank god - he finally got the message) so he told me he'd ring me again during the week seeing as he was feeling a bit drunk and wasn't in the right frame of mind. Besides, I hate talking on the phone about stuff like that.

Just remembered I still have to get my Dad's xmas present. Shit. Im thinking socks. Or aftershave. Or something dad-like.

College Xmas Party Fiasco

I took the day off work yesterday, due to the fact that I was out the night before for the college Christmas party. I was quite dreading the night, to be honest, seeing as I have found it hard enough to strike up any form of conversation with most of the people in college. About 49 people went to the party, which was nearly everbody. We went to ThunderRoad for dinner. I had the chicken salad for starters, followed by the chicken for the main course - ooo, how exciting I hear you gasp. The problem was that there was nothing else on the menu that I particularly liked - they either had mushrooms or some kinda weird sauce that probably would have burnt my ring off the following day. The starter was nice, but the main course was basically a brest of over-cooked chicken, a little bit of sauce on the side, and chips. How disappointing. The banoffie pie more than made up for it though. During the meal, I indulged in four cocktails, each of increasing colour. I'd still day the pina colada was my favourite.

After the meal we all headed to zanzibar. The place was pretty empty but filled up a bit later on from about 12:30 onwards. I had a few vodkas and a shot of goldshlager - i havent got a clue how you spell that. A bit of dancing ensued, but as the group I was with formed one of those circles, like you see at bad weddings, when everyone is just standing around clapping their hands, and eventually some one gets in the middle and does the birdie-dance, I didn't dance for too long. Sometimes I just feel like my lightning footwork is completely wasted. Although, we did have a laugh when one of the lads pulled out a little tin of snuff, and we all start doing lines on the dance-floor. God knows what we must have looked like, a big group of us huddled together wiping the brown residue off of our noses as our eyes welled up due to the strength of the substance. We all looked like little-hitlers with our brown mustaches. Awww.

When the bar closed a few of the people I was hanging around with, decided to jump in a taxi and head to Leggs. When we got there (Snuffman came with) they told us the place was closed. It was the same with the club across the road. To be honest, I was relieved as I wasnt really looking forward to going to a lapdancing club, even though the majority of the group were girls. Snuffman then suggested we walk to baggot street to find a place called Joys, or something along those lines (all the while, we were continuing to do line after line of snuff ). We found eventually, after much swaggering in the street and one of the girls falling over. There was a guy lying flat out on the pavement against the railings. Snuffman attempted to help him up, but he started mubbling some drunken shit, and grabbed Snuffman's hair (the drunk was in his early 40s). One of the other lads had to prize him free, and it was only then we realised that the drunk's arms were covered in blood. The bouncer at the door told us we better move away cause he had called the gardaí about 10mins ago, after some fight in the club that the drunk had been involved in. So as we crossed the street, sure enough a squad car pulled up and dragged the drunk into the back seat.

We were all feeling dejected at this stage. One of the postgrads suggested we head down to the centra on Westmorland st, buy some cans and go back to his place. The girls were complaining their feet hurt so they jumped in a taxi with Snuffman, and me and the other guy who was left (we had both decided at this stage we were just going to head to the nitelink) said we'd walk. When we got to the end of Grafton St, we bumped into the guys who'd gotten the taxi. Apparently someone had crashed into the back of their taxi and they had to hang around till the gardai came cause they were witnesses. As we were being told this, the guys in the car that had crashed got out, pushed their car around the taxi, jumped in and sped off. What fun! Numbers were exchanged with the taxi driver etc etc. Eventually when we got to centra, surprise, surprise, they had stopped selling alcohol. We had to conceed that the night was now officially over. Myself and the guy I had walked from Baggot St with, grabbed our respective nitelinks while the rest of them got a taxi home. Oh, how fun it is to drag a night out so.

I was supposed to go to an LGB party on in NCAD last night, but didn't bother. I was far too tired. Although M rang me to see if I was going. I'm still curious to know what he's up to, or what he's after.

M. just rang me bout an hour ago. Must admit, was a bit shoked. We both kind of acted like nothing had happened. I met up with him for lunch and we basically just chatted about random shit. Then we both went our seperate ways. It was all a bit surreal. I should've discussed how he had treated me etc, but I never got round to it. I know he said before that he wanted to be friends or something along those lines, but now, after thinking about it for a bit, I'm not even sure that I want to be friends with him. I definitely should've have said something to him. I know I need to say it. Maybe, if he rings me/meets up with me again I will. Damn, I should have said something.

Look out, they're gonna explode...

Now this is scary.

Why Did I drink so many of those pink cock...tails

I am feeling quite hung-over today. I went out to UCD last night for an inter-soc LGB xmas party. I was originally supposed to go with everyone from college, but I just missed the bus. I ended up having to get two buses out there which was a total pain in the ass as it took me an hour and a half to get from college to UCD. I was also wondering whether I would arrive and not be able to find the place, or else I would find it and everybody would have left for town. Luckily, none of the above occurred.

I arrived at the Astra Hall at about 8.30. There were a good few people there, and I spotted some familiar faces at one of the tables so I quickly went over. I ended up having a great time. There were free cocktails, some of which I ended up stupidly downing - think one was just pure alcohol mixed with a bit of crushed ice. Im paying for that one today I tell ya! There's something about brightly coloured drinks that Im both suspicious off and strangely (dangerously) attracted to. I was even up dancing and everything, although it has to be said that, for gay men, most of them there were pretty terrible dancers. So the stereotype isn't 100% true. I spent a lot of the night chattin' to this couple from my college, who I hadn't met before. I got on really well with them, as opposed to most of the other people in the soc who I can hold a conversation with but just don't 'click' - you know what I mean.

Anyway, things wound up at the party at about 11, so everyone jumped on the last bus and headed to the G. You should have seen the bus. It was the gayest ever ;) There were a group of slappers upstairs who were absolutely shit-faced and started screaming Christmas songs and eventually got most of the bus to join in (you know the type - short belt-like skirts, bleached hair, fannys looser than an elephant-fingered ass). However, the bus driver didn't seem to pleased as he stopped the bus and came upstairs, saying that if they didn't stop singing he'd throw everyone one off - and seeing as it was the last bus we would have all been royally fucked. So we got to the G eventually. It was free in since we'd already paid eur7 into the UCD party, which was pretty cool. Most of the music was 80s which suited me fine, although it did slowly turn into scanger-dance. Did a bit of dincin' and a little bit more drinkin'. The G was a bit of a come down for some reason. The group kinda all dispersed all over the place. I ended up sitting with five people from my college, who I think are kinda nerdy. Most of them are first years though and all of them are the worst dancers I've ever seen, and that means even worse than Dave & Eoin ( :p ). They're just not my type of people - im not being bitchy or anything but they're just not, although I did kinda go along with everything, just for the sake of it. The night gradually came to an end - I got my coat and got a cheap nitelink home. On my own :( Oh well. Im glad I went in the end.

Oh, and just in case you're wondering, I broke it off with M last weekend. He's such a fucker. Although I'm still kinda hoping he'll text me sometime, just so that I can ignore it.

Better get back to pretending to work.
